Visiting Page County!

Take a quick peek here

Visiting the farm!

We know it is difficult to make a decision without actually visiting the farm to check out everything!  We're always happy to schedule time for  visitors.  However, we're currently closed for the season, so things will not look like the photos on the website!  It is the time of year when we need to work on construction and maintenance projects, so expect some disarray!

The freezing winter temperatures has caused the die back in the garden, so things are looking pretty dead everywhere.  The plants have been  "put to bed" for the winter, and we've covered and moved furniture and garden decorations.

What you are likely to find on a visit here now:

In the garden: a sleeping garden full of dead or dying grass and foliage and lots of pots of plants waiting their turn to be placed into the ground to begin their wintering sleep and getting ready for the spring to come.

Babies waiting at the gate!

In the Events Barn: The barn is currently full of furniture, supplies and 'stuff' being stored for the winter.

In the Goat Barns: The barns will have packed bedding from the winter, so things will definitely not be at its cleanest! The winter is a time for shaggy coats and pregnant goats chowing down on hay.  In the spring, the barns are cleaned and depending on the time of the year, babies will abound!

Everywhere: There are signs of construction (such as piles of supplies and "debris"!) all around as we complete work on numerous projects, as the weather allows.

Furniture is stored in barn for winter!

So, if you can "use your imagination" (and then refer back to pictures here on the web) you might be able to visualize how different things will look in the spring, summer and fall when plants are blooming; the garden is alive; the barns are cleaned;  and things look at lot neater!

Contact us to schedule a time to visit!  Here are some photos over the years, during the winter at Khimaira Farm, and here are some shots of our snowfall in December 2009 and February 2010.
